A mentoring programme for boys who have attended a BPI DRAFTS camp. The same camp leaders continue working with them throughout the year, not just for that one week.

Camp lasts one week. Character does not change that quickly. That is why BPI DRAFTS leaders work with boys throughout the year through a programme called DELTA.
The programme combines theory with practical tasks. Boys meet camp leaders in person and attend talks by leaders from across Latvia.

Why camp alone is not enough
Four reasons why BPI DRAFTS did not want to stop at one week in summer.
A week is too short
At camp, a boy sees who he could become. But character does not change in seven days. Without follow-up, what began at camp becomes just a good memory a few months later.
At home, everything goes back to normal
A boy returns to the same class, the same friends and the same phone. That is where the decisions he made at camp are tested every day.
One talk does not teach leadership
Leadership is a skill, not information. It grows when someone more experienced observes, offers guidance and asks for accountability.
A boy needs a man who knows him
Not advice from the internet, but a real person who knows his name and story and can ask how he is really doing.

Three ways we work
The programme includes both theory and practical tasks.
Meeting in person
The boy meets the same leader who knows him from camp, not a stranger from a list.
Talks
The programme also includes talks by leaders from across Latvia who speak about leadership from experience.
Online
Latvia spans a long distance. Some meetings take place online so distance does not mean dropping out of the programme.
