Level I
28.06.–02.07.2027 · Ages 14–19
Enlistment
For boys aged 14–19. What manhood, character and calling actually are. In practice, not in theory.

Every man sometimes needs a moment to stop and ask himself a question that is hard to answer honestly in the rush of everyday life. That question is: why?
Everyday responsibilities, noise and routine often cloud our sense of clarity. We keep doing things, yet something is missing, and sometimes it is hard even to name it. Direction and meaning fade.
Direction needs meaning. Meaning needs clarity. Clarity needs space. These three days provide that space: step out of routine, say what has gone unsaid, see yourself from a new perspective and define your next steps.
For men aged 20 and over
No levels and no prerequisites
An adventure, not a seminar

There are many different whys. Some answers cannot be found in the same surroundings we live in every day.
Today's culture often sends conflicting messages about manhood. The Bible offers a clear vision, revealed most fully in the life of Jesus.
He brings together truth and grace.
He leads by putting service to others above his own interests.
He accepts challenges rather than avoiding them.
As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.

Refreshment for the soul

The camp is led by men who live what they talk about. No one teaches from above here. As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.

No. The Men camp is separate, for men aged 20 and over, with no levels and no prerequisites. Many come with a friend or a brother.
Not necessarily. We speak openly about faith because it is at the heart of this camp, but no one is pressured or put in an uncomfortable position. Every year, men who have never attended church come here and return the following year.
The tasks take effort, including mud and cold water, but this is not a competition and nobody measures results. Everyone does what they can; no special fitness level is needed. List any health limitations in the application so the instructor can adapt the tasks.
At the Ganības base in Užava. Conditions are simple, we sleep in groups, and there are three meals a day. Bring your own sleeping bag. We send the exact packing list after registration.
We do not want money to be what keeps you from coming to camp. We, the BPI DRAFTS team, have made sure that where it is needed we can support you by covering part of the fee.
